New Visa Rewards Credit Card Reissue FAQs

Q: Why am I receiving a new credit card?
A: We are reissuing all credit cards to enhance your card security and provide the latest contactless technology. This means you can tap to pay for a faster, safer experience.

Q: What’s different about my new card?
A: Your new card has a new card number, expiration date, and security code. It’s also equipped with contactless technology, allowing you to tap to pay at compatible terminals.

Q: Will my existing card stop working when I receive my new card?
A: No, your existing card will continue to work until January 6, 2024, or until you activate the new card—whichever happens first.

Q: Do I need to activate my new card right away?
A: Not immediately, but it’s best to activate it as soon as possible for seamless access. If the new card isn’t activated by January 6, 2024, your existing card will automatically stop working.

Q: What should I do with my old card?
A: Once your new card is activated, securely destroy your old card (e.g., by cutting it into small pieces). If you prefer, you can bring it to one of our branches for secure disposal.

Q: Will mailed payments to the old address still be processed?
A: Yes, any mailed payments sent to the old address in November will be forwarded to the new address and backdated appropriately.

Q: What’s the best way to ensure my payment is processed on time?
A: We recommend setting up online payments now to avoid delays, as it takes approximately five days to validate a new online payment setup.
